undressing the veil of sissy

William Bokelund, Sissy Cogan & Butterfly

This collection of paintings is a drop of nectar dripping off the world to some degree, as the young ancient gods in their neverending orgiastic fuck - the one and only fuck - destroys all bounderies by the mere blurr of their sweat and sexjuices and their moans of pleasure that cut through the fabric of Isis deeper and deeper into the dawning of her naked splendor.

William Bokelund is famous for his co-authoring of the book series known as Licks in the River, an ongoing work of nonfiction cowritten with Sissy Cogan and Butterfly. Working in the spirit of such people as James Joyce, Terence McKenna, Salvador Dali and alchemists of the far centuries, he is an explorer of the imagination, venturing deep into the world of spirit to come up from that endless ocean with diamonds that he throws around in wild bliss and ecstasy through a variety of work, mainly, as yet, through music, writing, and paintings. Unabashed and drunk with crazy love, William lives in an unknown universe revelling in his own genius and the nectars of his secret lovers. He lives with the gods in the bliss of being under and within the veil of Sisi, the seamstress of dream and of fantasy made real.

All paintings are oil and/or acrylic on canvas. Some paintings contain framed works in mixed media.

They are Lovers again

They’re lovers again: Sugar dissolving into milk.

Day and night, no difference. The sun is the moon:

An amalgam. Their gold and silver melt together.

This is the season when the dead branch

and the green branch are the same branch.

            You must marry your soul.

            That wedding is the way.
